Honor the Colors Ceremony

All uniformed service personnel are expected
to honor the colors during the raising and lowering
of the National Ensign daily. Fort Detrick is an
Army installation, therefore, service personnel
in uniform must stop their car, get out, and stand
at attention until the flag is completely raised, or
lowered. Civilians must also stop their car and
wait until the conclusion of the ceremony.
Service personnel not in uniform must also
stop their car, get out, stand at attention and place
their right hand over their heart until the
completion of the ceremony.
